After a day at Caesarea, we drove east to Beit She'an, where we stopped for dinner. We had originally hoped to visit the ruins there, but our changes of plans around Haifa didn't give us any time for that.
We then drove south along the edge of the Jordan river at night towards the Dead Sea. Not much to view of the scenery in the dark. There seems to be some confusion and political posturing about whether or not this is considered part of the West Bank, but I'll try not to get too involved in that here. Our passings through checkpoints were fairly uneventful.
