There's this awesome public bike system in Paris, Velo Libre. It's incredibly cheap and convenient, and would have been the perfect transportation option on our second swing through Paris. Unfortunately we weren't ultimately able to get it to work, I think maybe it didn't take foreign credit cards. Next time we're definitely going to research it in advance. We'd even get a French credit card account if that's what it took to use it.
